Week 10 (Activity) - After this CRJ post has been published, all that remains is to complete 'Week 11' and 'Week 12' and finish the documentation of both rapid ideation events. In addition, I will start on the assessment in a few days now that I have completed the majority of weekly material in this module (Development Practice). I am confident that I can reproduce my findings.
Researching agile practices in greater detail was nothing short of eye-opening. Having listened to Belinda Waldock and outlining the pros and cons of the methodology by considering opposing arguments, I feel like I could benefit from adhering to particular agile methods even as a solo practitioner. To reinforce this notion, Alex Andrews makes a compelling argument about the benefits of sticking to the principles of SCRUM even as a solo developer (Andrews, 2017).
The next module will see group work come into play, and I believe if we were to implement SCRUM as opposed to more linear methodologies, it would offer us the freedom to iterate and improve upon the project as a whole. A survey conducted in 2010 asked 50 game developers (who used SCRUM) how the use of an agile methodology impacted their game studio by practices (Figure 1). Although the survey was conducted over a decade ago, I believe the results show how effective SCRUM was and still is within a development studio.

Furthermore, having researched 'Epics' and 'User Stories' - I will be more inclined to use these techniques to acquire appropriate target audiences in future modules. I feel content having investigated the benefits. Moreover, I think that it can bridge the gap between developer and consumer communication.
